Summary
The Marie Curie Nursing Service helps people who are approaching the end of their lives to remain at home if they wish to, through its nationwide network of Marie Curie Nurses who provide nursing care at home. Marie Curie Nurses help to provide the nursing care you need. They can provide practical and emotional advice and support for you and the person caring for you. They also have the time to listen to any concerns about your illness or treatment.
Marie Curie also offers a dedicated support line contact 0800 090 2309 (office hours only).
If you would like a Marie Curie Nurse, you should contact your District Nurse (sometimes called the community nurse) who co-ordinates your care at home, your GP’s surgery will be able to tell you who your local District Nurse is and how to contact them.
The service is free to the people Marie Curie care for, their families and carers. For more information, contact by telephone, email or visit the website.
